We have been educated to think there is one right way to educate children. Having come through the mainstream education system, the educational root is for us to choose the right curriculum and walk a child through it from start to finish to garner the desired result - an educated child. In this podcast, I look at how this ideology centres the curriculum and not the child. I also look at how following a curriculum can be both supportive and distracting when educating children. As always, I relate my thoughts to what nature teaches us about systems that thrive by discussing relevant principles from permaculture.
